Gaussian Splatting. Ply export guide

Ply files is a container, it can contain 3D models, Point Clouds or Gaussian Splatting. Irrealix plugins can import only .Ply files with Gaussian Splatting. If you try to import .ply with other data you will get an error message. Here is a simple guide on how to export from Luma AI and Polycam.

Luma AI

1. In the top right corner click on the down arrow.
2. In the Gaussian Splat section click on Gaussian Splat.

Polycam

1. Click on the download icon.
2. Select Splat PLY
3. Click on Export.
